Passed away peacefully with family by his side at St. Mary’s Hospital on Thursday, April 4, 2019 in his 90th year. Beloved husband of Helga (nee Lutz) for 64 years. Loving father of Monika Noble (Tony), Werner Hinzel (Cathy) and Richard Hinzel of London, England. Proud Opa of Ken, Kristen (Kyle), Daniel (Yian), Matthew and Jonathan and great-grandfather of Abigail and Elena. Son of the late George and Sara Hinzel. Predeceased by his 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Special thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and Chartwell Westmount LTC for their compassionate care.
Andy’s family will receive relatives and friends from 7-9 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019 and from 12:30-1:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the chapel on Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
