It is with great sadness that the family of Alan Wyman announces his sudden passing, on Tuesday April 9, 2019, at the age of 59 years. Alan will be forever remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, father & grandad.
Alan was born on July 5, 1959 in London England and came to Canada with his family at the age of three. Alan and Jan met at the University of Guelph in 1978. After graduating, they married and settled in Guelph. Alan had a long career at Blount Manufacturing and had recently retired. He was a proud father and grandad.
Alan had a passion for music, cooking, science and was a true family man. Known to many as Science Al, remembered for his wit and wisdom as well as his phenomenal guitar skills.
Alan was preceded in death by his Father, Ron and mother in law Marie Bolton. He is survived by his wife and soul mate Jan, his mother Margaret, his two children, Sam & Jessica (Kyle), his two grandchildren, Reid and Danielle, his brother Derek (Laura), his father in law, Art Bolton, brother in law Carl Bolton (Val), and his three nephews, Matt, Grant and David Bolton.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Alan’s life will be held In the Chapel of Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home fellowship lounge. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
