Ailsa Cunningham Robinson
April 25, 1933 – April 16, 2019
Ailsa Cunningham Robinson (nee Telfer) joined her beloved husband, Will and their daughter, Marco on the soft spring morning of April 16th 2019. Born in Scotland in 1933, she became a speech therapist at the university of Edinburgh where she met Will in 1953, selling him a seat for the last night of the festival, and their whirlwind romance led to a lifelong love. She and Will lived a life of handsome design, warm hospitality and open generosity, both in Toronto and in Waupoos (PEC). She always seemed an islet of gracious calm in a busy chaotic life. Stylish, well-read, and witty, Ailsa enriched the lives of many, not least her Robinson nieces and nephews who fondly remember gathering with her children to hear her read in that lovely Scottish lilt. She leaves many others bereft.
Her children and grandchildren: Jennifer (Michael), Drummond and Gillian; Judith (Jos) Xander; Sally (Paul), Ailsa, Mia and Elizabeth; Raeburn (Dawn), Adam and Brandon; Drew (Jill), Taylan, Quinn and Oliver.
There will never be another like her.
Please join us at St John’s Anglican Chruch Waupoos on Sat May 18 at 11 am to celebrate Ailsa’s life
