Obituary of Aniela Stachurski
STACHURSKI, Aniela (nee Rudnicka)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Aniela Stachurski on April 2nd, 2019 in her 78th year, with the love of family and friends by her side. Predeceased by her beloved husband Franciszek (2006) and her son Mark (2016). Cherished mother to Rose (Henry Wegiel) and Henry (Jodi). Devoted and adoring Babcia to Julia (Eric), Daniella, Natalie, Andrew, Katrina, Darien, Cayley, and Alison. She will be dearly missed by family and friends in Poland, the U.S., Australia and Canada. Aniela was born in Waszkowce, Poland in 1941 and came to Canada as a young bride in 1960. She was a strong, hard-working and devout woman who was also a masterful seamstress, cook, and Euchre player. Her happiest moments were spent with her family especially her grandchildren. She always looked forward to her annual visits to Poland where she would share time with siblings, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and support staff in the ICU at St. Joseph’s Healthcare for their compassionate care over the past five months. Visitation will be held at Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Sunday, April 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with Vigil prayers at 8:30 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church, 304 Highway #8, Stoney Creek on Monday, April 8, 2019 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, and if desired, donations can be made to St. Francis Xavier Renovation Fund or St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation.
