Obituary of Theresia Katz
KATZ — Theresia, formerly from Port Colborne, passed away at the Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland, Ontario on Friday, January 25th at the age of 87 years. Born in Mohacs, Hungary she emigrated to Canada in 1951 and made her home in Port Colborne, Ontario. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years Adam Katz, her parents Johann and Theresia Stigler, her sister Maria, her sister Anna Kreiner, and her 2 brother in laws Franz Klement and Matyas Katz. She is survived by her son Roy Katz his wife Janet and their children Jennifer (Marion) and John (Kathleen) and her daughter Elizabeth and her husband David Coultis and their children Connor (Emmalee) and Kate, a great granddaughter Harlee Katz and a brother Franz Stigler and sister in law Eva Katz both residing in Germany. Theresia will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews residing in Germany and the United States. The family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street on Sunday, April 7th from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 p.m. followed by a brief memorial in the Davidson Chapel and luncheon at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #56, Port Colborne. A private family internment in the Oakwood Cemetery to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
