After a full and storied life’s journey, our beloved Sofie, wife to Berthold, mother, mother in law, grandmother and great grandmother, has gone home to God.
Undaunted, she navigated every bump on her road, she nurtured and loved her family and kept a beautiful and welcoming home. Her work is done, our Oma is at peace.
With great sadness, but grateful for all the time we had, we bid our Oma Adieu.
She will be missed by: Bert Stober, her husband of 65 years; children: Karin (Roland), Ron, and Herb (Verna); sister Ruth in Germany; brother Ludwig & sister in law Helga in Germany; grandchildren: Cécile, André, Matthew, Brett, Rachael, Paige and Quinn; great grandchildren: Lilly, Emma, Naomi, Emerson and Oakley
Funeral service Friday April 5th, 2019 at 2:00 pm at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 10759 – 96 street, Edmonton.

Sincerest thanks to all the doctors, nursing and non medical staff, who were involved in Sofie’s care at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. You gave her the best of care, but she was called Home.
