Amelia “Millie” Frances Baby (1919-2019)
Millie Baby passed away peacefully after a long battle with Alzheimer’s at Manitoulin Centennial Manor April 27, at the age of 100. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, to Annie and John Storozuk, Millie grew up in Coniston, lived her adult life in Sudbury and was married to Daniel Baby (predeceased) for 43 years. Mother to Garry (Ann Marie) and Mary Catherine (Jim), Millie was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren Paula (Jaime), Christopher (Karla), Jamie (Nadia), Erin (Kevin), Jen (Keith) and great grandchildren Nico, Marissa, Elena, Brandon, Ryan, Meagan, Noah, Liam, Max, and Ben. Sister to Jessie, Mary, William, Michael (all predeceased) and Stella Smal, Jean Visentin, and Eleanor Paradis, Millie was also a sister-in-law, aunt and cousin to many. A lifelong member of St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Millie worked tirelessly for the Ukrainian Seniors’ Centre, always enjoying the Ukrainian community. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Ukrainian Seniors’ Centre, St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church or Manitoulin Centennial Manor Auxiliary would be appreciated. Funeral Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. with service to follow in the R.J.
