1928-2019
It is with great sadness that the family announces the
passing of Ovide Belliveau, husband of Thérèse
(Melanson) Belliveau of Bathurst, which occurred on Wednesday, April
24, 2019 at theChaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, at the age of
91.
Born in Shediac, N.B., he was
the son of the late Edmond Belliveau and late Florine
Boudreau.
Beside his loving wife of 64
years, he is survived by his only child, Monique (Michel) Doucet of
Bathurst. Two beloved grandchildren: Eric and
Julie
One brother, Urbain Belliveau
(Brenda), Shediac N.B. Three sisters: Stella Belliveau,
Hectorine (late Albert) Maillet, Jeannita (late Ronald) Allain, all
from Shediac. Several nieces and
nephews.
He is predeceased by three
brothers: Camille, Joseph, and
Ronald.
He was the manager of Agnew
shoe store in Bathurst for many years. After retiring, he
enjoyed life to the fullest; travelling, golfing, and he was an avid
hockey
fan.
The family would like to
sincerely thank Dr. Eve-Marise Boudreau and Dr.
Marie-Andrée Arsenault, the Extra-mural services, the staff
of the Paliative Care Unit at the hospital, as well as the staff at
the Prestige Residence in
Bathurst.
At his request, there will be
no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral service will
be held at Notre-Dame-du-Rosaire Church in Bathurst on Thursday, May
2, 2019 at 4:00
p.m.
Funeral arrangements are in
the care of Elhatton’s Funeral Home (www.elhatton.com) in
Bathurst.
