Janey Barbara Hall Tuesday April 23rd 2019

Janey Hall (née Kant) passed away peacefully in the embrace of her family at home in Sudbury on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. She is survived by her husband Robert Hall, daughter Erica Hall, son Andrew Hall (Patricia), her grandsons William, Henry and Leo, her mother Barbara Kant (Leonard, predeceased), sister Peggy Verch (Jim), and many loving nieces and nephews.
Janey was the consummate professional as an insurance broker with both Martin’s Insurance and Canada Brokerlink, spending most of her career in commercial insurance. She also excelled as a wife, parent, grandmother and hostess, welcoming all into her home on many occasions. She was an active member of St. Andrew’s United Church as well as a Board Member of St. Andrew’s Place, serving on many committees with energy and commitment. Her interests also included singing in many choirs and playing in Kampana Handbells. In recent years she had great enthusiasm for a newly shared camp on Long Lake and spent many happy hours there, especially with grandchildren.
The Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 111 Larch Street, Sudbury on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2:30 pm with visitation held from 1 to 2 pm and a luncheon to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations are invited to the ALS Society of Canada or the Youth Program at St. Andrew’s United Church.
