Life Legacy
PARTHENIOU, Damianos ‘Tom’ – Passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 23, 2019 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital, surrounded by his family and friends, at the age of 72. Beloved husband of 48 years to Milia Partheniou. Dearly loved father of Chris (Kitty) Partheniou and Naki Partheniou. Cherished bappou of McKenzie Partheniou. Dear brother of Yiannis (Sophia), Andreas (Xenia), Mike (Eleftheria), George (An), Eleni (the late Nikos), Kyriakos (Eleni), Anna (Kypros), Lambros (Grace). Lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Niki, and dozens of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his infant brother Panayioti, his father Parthenios and mother Stella. Damianos served in the Cypriot National Guard and was a veteran of the Turkish Invasion of 1974. He and his family came to Canada in 1980. He worked hard to build a better life for his children, but his heart was always in Cyprus. He will be remembered for his booming voice, joyful eyes, green thumb and his stories of the village. Friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Trisagion will be held at 7:30 pm. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church on Tuesday at 1 pm. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Damianos, donations may be made to St. Katherine Greek Orthodox Church, or to The Niagara Health Foundation (GNGH Site), and would be appreciated by his family.
