Alan Glenford Winegarden (1943 – 2019)
On Friday, March 22, 2019, after a hard fight against cancer, Alan Winegarden in his 76th year, has “Gone Fishin”. Reunited on the “African Queen” with several of his predeceased fishing buddies on Moira Lake in Madoc, giving them tips on how to catch a pickerel.
Husband / Father / Grandpa / Great Grandpa. He will be forever missed by his wife Sharon of 57 years, his 3 sons, Alan Jr. (Mary), Ed (Tonya), Steve (Jackie) and his daughter Teresa. He will also be missed by his “Furry Suck” Katie. Cremation has taken place and a “Celebration Of Dad’s Life” will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations in Al’s memory may be made to the Norfolk SPCA or LHSC cancer clinic and will be “greatfully acknowleged”, by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home (519-842-5221) who have been entrusted with Al’s arrangements.
