Obituary of Harvey Ray “Reese” Edgar
Born November 22, 1944 in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Reese peacefully passed away at home with his beloved family by his side, on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the age of 74. Predeceased by his parents Harvey Sr. and Joan Kingston as well as his sister Diane Edgar and grandson Tyrell Alexander. Survived by his forever “Love Button” wife, Verlyn Robinson Edgar of 47 years and their four beautiful children Kimberly (Philbert), Taryn (Reggie), Brent and Chad. Beloved grandfather of Teneisha, Tevon, Alexander, Emily, Reese Viktoria, Tristan, Tiya, Qway and Zaria. And the jewel of the family, his great granddaughter Destiny. Reese was a loving brother and friend and he will be missed by his in-laws, nieces and nephews. Reese was an avid outdoorsman, an expert hunter, gunsmen and lover of all animals, especially his new puppy and best friend, Harvey. He will be missed by many but we all know that he has left his footprints on this earth, never to be forgotten by those who knew him and loved him for what he truly was, a legend in his own right. As per Reese’s request, there will be no services held but a Celebration of his Life will be held at his home in Batchawana Bay at a later date. Memorial donations to Tracy’s Dream would be appreciated by the family. We would like to thank Dr. Karen Booth and the Palliative Care team at the Cancer Clinic and a very special thank you to his home care nurse, Sierra Grey. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
