It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Friday, April 12th, 2019 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Louise Vachon (née Daoust). Son of the late Ferdinand and late Alexina (née Laperrière) Vachon. Loving father of Carmen Samson (Gerard), Diane Brabant (Roger), Roger (Carole), Claire Vincent (Bert), Lorraine Brabant (Claude), Raymond (Suzanne), Ronald (Diane), Robert (Cynthia) and Rejean (Sandy). Predeceased by his daughter Monique. Dear brother of Pierre (Rosanne), Rita McLean (late Valentine), Yvonne Lepage (late Floris), Helene Vachon and Eugene (Linda). Predeceased by his brother Lucien. Cherished grandfather of 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and predeceased by 1 grandchild. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. The family would like to thank everyone at the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. As per Gérard’s request a private family service has been held.
