Michael Paul Budinski
Mike Budinski of Edmonton passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the age of 94 on April 15, 2019. Deeply mourning his passing are his children, DArcy (Deb), Don (Tina), Sharon (Brad) and Linda; his grandchildren, Jessica, Cassia, Sarina, Megan, Melissa, Shelley, Tracy, Andrea and David; his brother, Adam; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and cousins. Predeceased by his wife, Olive; and ten brothers and sisters.
Mike grew up in the Haight area, joined the 4th Armoured Division RCASC, CA in 1944 and was stationed in Ottawa for the duration of the war. Mike was a jack of all trades including carpentry, tinsmith and farmer and became a very successful contractor, building numerous houses throughout his lifetime.
Mike was highly respected in both his professional and private life. With a smile that could melt any heart, he was known as a very gentle and kind man with a beautiful soul, loyal always to his many friends and to his immediate and extended family. He will be so deeply missed by all who were fortunate to have him in their life.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, April 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT and Nunavut, Suite 144, 5241 Calgary Trail, Edmonton AB T6H 5G8.
