Adelard Bastarache
1939-2019
Adelard Bastarache, 79, of Foyer Saint-Antoine and formerly of
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family
at the Foyer Saint-Antoine on Monday April 15, 2019. He was married
to Marguerite (Cormier) Bastarache. Born in Saint-Maurice, he was the
son of the late Fred and the late Amanda (Savoie) Bastarache.
Adelard was the owner of Bastarache Builders. His greatest passion in
life was his family, especially his grandchildren and his cabin where
he loved to spend time.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Marguerite, his three children;
Joanne Bourgeois of Ayer, MA, Lynne Bastarache (Greg MacLean) and
Norman (Rachel) of Moncton, his five grandchildren; Luc (Lindsay),
Thomas, Amanda, Jennifer, Denis (Vanessa) and one great granddaughter,
Arie. He also leaves to mourn three sisters; Lilianne Bourque of
Shediac, Huberte Cormier of Sainte-Marie-de-Kent, Norma Robichaud
(Eddie) of Saint-Louis, his two brothers; André (Bernice) of
Bouctouche and Gerard (Bernice) of Mississauga, ON as well as several
nephews and nieces.
He was predeceased by one sister Anita and five brothers; Hervé,
Aurèle, Roméo, Isaac and Yvon.
Visitations will be held at the Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel,
Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Monday
April 22, 2019 from 7 to 9 and on Tuesday April 23, from 2 to 3:45 pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Sainte-Marie-de-Kent Church on
Tuesday April 23 at 4:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in
the spring.
In Adelard’s memory, donations may be made to the
Alzheimer’s Society.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral
Home, Bouctouche.
