It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gerard Peddle announce his passing on Monday, April 15th, 2019 at the Health Science Centre, St. John’s at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his son David (Elizabeth) and daughter Joanne; grandchildren: Sarah, Nathan, Jane, Leyna and Julia; sister: Sylvia Pennell; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents James and Grace Peddle, brothers Edward “Ned”, Ambrose, Andrew, Clarence, Leslie and Joshua; and sister Bernadine. Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Tuesday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 am to 12 noon, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Chapel. Fr. Ed Terry officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
