THOMPSON, Monica (nee McGrath) – While surrounded by her loving family, Monica passed peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the age of 92. Monica, beloved wife of 70 years to the late Arnold Thompson. Loving and devoted mother of Dianne Fraser, Ron (Pat), Brenda Collins (the late Carl), Roger (Janet), Randy (Ria), Deb Riel (Rick), Sherry Migliaccio (Joe), Rob (Cindy), Chris (Linda), and Karen Thompson. Cherished Grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Joe McGrath (Thelma) and sister-in-law of Doug (Roberta), Dora Veal (Ivan). Predeceased by sisters Josephine Van Valkenburg, Theresa McGrath, Antoinette Shewman (Baltes) and Frances McGrath (Richard). Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the HIGHLAND PARK FUNERAL CENTRE, 2510 Bensfort Road on Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. The Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 386 Rogers St. Peterborough, on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. followed by interment at Highland Park Cemetery and a time of fellowship in the Highland Park Reception Centre.
