Obituary of Claude West
Pastor Claude West, 66, passed away peacefully with family by his side at Hospice Niagara, St. Catharines on April 6, 2019. Claude is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Hazel; his son Matthew West and his wife Becky; his daughter Heather Palaniuk and her husband Jay; his grandchildren Nathan, Jacob, Micah, Zachary, Fischer, Farrah; his siblings, Larry, Gay, Madeline, Amanda, Curtis, Dalton, Maxine, and Lori; and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Claude and Ethel West; and his sister, Rowena West.
Claude was born in Clarke’s Beach, NFLD on September 22, 1952. He moved to Toronto at the age of 17 and married the love of his life in 1975. He humbly served as a Pastor with the PAOC for over 40 years in the communities of Toronto, Bothwell, Sundridge, Acton, and Vineland. Claude had a strong love for God, family, friends and the Church. He was a loving and faithful husband, father and Poppy.
Visitation will be held at Twenty Valley Community Church 3994 Victoria Ave, Vineland on Wednesday April 10, 2019 from 2:00-4:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Vineland Missionary Church, 3874 Victoria Ave, Vineland on Thursday April 11 at 2:00 pm followed by a reception afterwards.
