William Ronald Pogue (Bill) passed away February 27, 2019 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after a short battle with cancer. Bill was born on September 7, 1938 in Windsor and lived most of his life in Oakville. Bill was known for his quick wit and dry sense of humor. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures like reading the latest Patterson novel, working away on his newest stained glass and wire art pieces, coffee with his friend’s, and continuing to work part time because he loved the people. You could count on Bill to keep you up to date on the latest hockey and baseball stats. Always a baseball fan, he would cheer on the Blue Jays but always had time for our own local Oakville A’s. Bill is survived by his sons Derek (Jennifer) and Dean (Vanessa), grandchildren Blake and Jacqueline, former wife Joan, sister Beverly (Jim) and many nieces and nephews. Respecting Bill’s wishes, in lieu of a funeral or service at this time, the family will be planning a celebration of life in the coming weeks.
