Obituary of Violet Killam
Violet Hattie “Vi” Killam (nee Tupper) passed away at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, Friday, March 22, 2019 at the age of 96 years.
Violet was born on the farm at Marwayne, Alberta, August 5, 1922 to parents, Jay & Elizabeth “Bessie” Tupper.
She leaves her memories with: three daughters, Linda Cote of Marwayne, Doreen (Keith) Espetveidt of Spruce Grove and Margery Willson of Edmonton; eleven grandchildren, Doug (Lesia) Cote of Whitecourt, Layne (Bonnie) Cote of Sylvan Lake, Bartley (Cavel) Killam of Lloydminster, David Killam of Lloydminster, Daryl Killam of Lloydminster, Pamela (Jerry) Fistric of Edmonton, Jason (Nancy) Espetveidt of Calgary, Christopher (Christina) Willson of Calgary, Greg Willson of Leduc, Raelene (Kevin) Tetz of Marwayne, and Jody (Kirk) Gerich of Hafford, Saskatchewan; twenty-two great grandchildren, Megan, Morgan, Ryley, Justin, Ashley, Robyn, Jordyn, Tyler, Jenna, Blake, Danielle, Cole, Emily, Kyle, Emma, Riley, Jaxson, Jessie, Jamie, Hunter, Henry, and Anna; six great-great-grandchildren, Emma, Kennedy, Kamryn, Eisla, Zane, and Evelyn; sister-in-law, Joan Kinshella; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Vi was pre-deceased by: her husband, Don in 1999; her sons, Marvin in 2011 and Gordon in 2019; her granddaughter, Stephanie Willson in 1989; her son-in-law, Alvin Cote in 1991; her granddaughter-in-laws, Geraldine Killam in 2008 and Christine Cote in 2016; her parents, Jay & Bessie Tupper; her brothers, Joe and Forest Tupper; her sister, Marion Espetveidt; and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Vi’s son, Gordon, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. A funeral service for Vi will be conducted jointly with Gordon’s memorial service at Marwayne Community Hall, Marwayne, Alberta on Friday, March 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
