Welcomed to heaven with love by his parents, Tese and Willie Hynes, parents-in-law, Min and Ben Hogan, beloved niece Patti-Lynn Noonan and beloved nephew, Trevor Hynes.
Leaving with beautiful memories of their 53 years together, the love of his life, Ronnie (Hogan).
His pride and joy, his girls, Martina (Daren) and Tammy (Craig).
His grandchildren who were the light of his life, Ayla, Liam, Ben, Rowan, Fiona and Nicholas.
His 8 siblings: Bill (Stella), Adrian (Molly), Brian (Janet), Kathleen, Maureen (Loyola), Nancy, Noelle (Jack) and Yvonne (Scott).
His 14 siblings in law: Ray (Barb), Mary, Anita (Wayne), Philomena (Ben), Vivian (Giordano), Geanie (Paul), Dottie (Bren), Eileen (Ray), Betty (Larry), Pauleen (Scott), Jo (Brian), Felix (Jenny), Billy (Annette) and Bernadine (Ed).
53 nieces and nephews, their spouses and children.
His lifelong friends Harold Gearin and Kieran McCarthy.
So many friends that he made in his lifetime. As anyone who knew him understands, relationships and connections were very important to him. Most especially those who were involved in the social justice issues that occupied his most recent years, you are his warriors.
The doctors and staff of the Ambulatory Treatment Centre especially Dr. Joanne Hickey, Dr. Joanne McIntyre and Nurse Practioner Charlene Downey. The doctors and staff of 4 North A for their care, empathy and compassion to him and his family in his final days especially Nurse Emily Lush.
Cremation has taken place as per his request. A Celebration of Life will take place at Fahey’s Funeral Home on Thursday, April 4th, 2019 from 2 to 9 pm. No flowers by request. A scholarship fund will be created in his memory at Memorial University and donations are gratefully accepted, please contact his daughters Martina or Tammy.
