Gordon, Sylas Jamaine Lorne
Born on May 25, 2017, Sylas passed away peacefully in the arms of his mom at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, on Thursday March 7, 2019 after a courageous and determined battle with cancer. Sylas was the beloved son of Justine and Dwayne Gordon and the baby brother to Rayna and Amyah. Dear grandson of Heather McElroy (Glyn Evans), Art McElroy (Kathy), Rosemarie and Ira Gordon of Jamaica. Great-grandson of Fern and the late Bill Lane. Survived by his uncle Lorne McElroy (Tracy) and their children Angus, Charlie and Shay, his aunt Demeica Gordon and her son Giovanni and uncle Demar Gordon. Sylas will be missed dearly by friends and family. We will never forget Sylas’ big brown eyes, his contagious smile, and his ability to light up a room. The outpouring of love and support from our community is immeasurable. Sylas will always be remembered as a true warrior. Funeral Service will be held at the Port Hope United Church, 34 South Street, Port Hope on Thursday March 14, 2019 at 11 a.m. If desired, memorial contributions may be made by cheque to Pedal for Hope 2019 – Canadian Cancer Society. www.allisonfuneralhome.com
