Russell Thomas Kierstead
1963-2019
With heavy
hearts we are sad to say that Russell Thomas Kierstead aged 56 has
passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019. He will be so
missed by his family and friends.
Russell is

(Darren), Brenda Killam (Dennis), Patricia Kierstead, Darlene
Kierstead, Charlene Stables (Eddy), Tanya Kierstead (Murray) and
Melissa Kierstead (Alan) and brothers, Russel Kierstead and John
Kierstead (Sheri). He is also survived by 26 nephews and
nieces and 23 great nephews and nieces who will always miss
him. Russell also had lots of uncles, aunts and cousins, too
many to count. He was predeceased by his father, Frederick
Thomas Kierstead; grandparents on both sides; sisters, Wanda, Rosie
and Dawn; as well as brother, Frederick John
Kierstead.
Russell loved
to play pool with his nephews, fishing, crocheting slippers for
everyone, playing cards and listening to ole country music, like the
Lions Sleep Tonight which was his favourite. He loved
spending time with his family and taking all the children out for
special weekends when he went to Moncton. Russell would be
there for anything no matter what.
He was a
homecare worker for different care homes and had worked for Bayshore
Home Heath for many years. Russell always enjoyed his
work.
In keeping
with Russell’s wishes, there will be no visitation or
funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Brenan’s Funeral
Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John
(634-7424).
For those who
wish, remembrances may be made to the Saint John SPCA Animal
Rescue.
