On Tuesday, March 19, 2019 Mr. Roy Fontaine passed away peacefully at Wainwright Health Centre at the age of 80 years.
Roy is survived by his loving family; wife, Ann Fontaine of Wainwright, AB; his six children, Jeanette (Bob) Spornitz of Grande Prairie, AB, Sheila (James) McIvor of Wainwright, AB, Michael (Sandy) Fontaine of Edmonton, AB, Christopher (Melanie Wilcox) Fontaine of Calgary, AB, Craig (Susan Reynolds) Fontaine of Rosyth, AB, and Rebecca (Darcy) Mullan of Red Deer, AB; thirteen… Read More » grandchildren, Adrienne (Travis) Pretzer, Jeffrey Spornits, Madison, Kaitlyn & Jarad McIvor, Andrew & Jordan Fontaine; Brodie & Ryley Fontaine, Martina & Micaela Fontaine, Chelsea & Brayden Mullan; three great grandchildren, Alicia, Derek & Luke Pretzer; as well numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, John & Rhea Fontaine; sister, Teresa Croteau, and three brothers, John, Ronald, & David Fontaine.
A funeral mass for the late Mr. Roy Fontaine will be conducted on March 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Wainwright, Alberta with Father Moses Savarimuthu SAC officiating. Interment to follow at the Wainwright Cemetery, Wainwright, Alberta. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson Association of Alberta.
