Obituary for
Roger Larabie
The family announces with great sorrow his passing at the Timmins & District Hospital on March 22, 2019 at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his wife Denise (nee Lalande) in 2008. He leaves his special partner of 10 years Lorraine Cotnam. Loving father of Cindy Larabie of Montreal, Bob Larabie (Lisa) and Lynne Larabie-Lebrun (Shane) both of Timmins as well as Lorraine’s children Chris Trevenna and Rick Cotnam and their children and families. Cherished grandfather of Kaytlan Lascelle (Dan), Cory Larabie (Chantal Ouellette) as well as Jason, Blake & Lindsey Martin and their father Dean Martin. Great grandfather of Audrey and Emersyn. Dear brother of late Thérèse Larabie (2008) and half-brother of Albert Jr., Caroline, Richard and by many other half siblings. He will be missed by many friends and especially his little buddy Marek.
Roger was a motor coach operator for 22 years with the Ontario Northland. He spent many hours on the road and was known if running late to put the pedal to the metal. He had a great sense of humor right up to the very end. Roger was an avid outdoors man. Hunting, fishing and camping were just a few of his pastimes. He had a love for sweets especially butter tarts. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play hockey and dance. The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Timmins & District Hospital for the compassion and wonderful care provided to dad during his stay.
Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home (Msgr Pat Lafleur officiating). A reception will follow in the Miron-Wilson Reception Lounge. Remembrance donations to Timmins & District Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon to 3:30 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins
