Obituary of Reta McQuinn
Frances Reta McQuinn, lovingly known as Reta was born in Bartibog Bridge , NB on June 12, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Sewell) MacLean
Reta was a homemaker, a member of St. Paul ‘s United Church and the United Church Women. She was an adherent to the United Baptist Church in Penobsquis for several years, a past Matron of the Kings Chapter #21, Order of the Eastern Star and a member of the Order itself for 35 years.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She will be lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews and friends.
F. Reta McQuinn of Sus passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on March 19, 2019 at the age of 91.
Along with her parents and her husband, she is predeceased by her son, Brian; her brothers: Harry, Bernard, Andrew and Earl and by her sisters: Gertrude Douthwright, Violet Henderson and Dr. Ann MacLean-Smith.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus from where visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A celebration of Reta’s life will be held from St. Paul ‘s United Church on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 1:00pm.
Donations in memory of Reta may be made to the Kiwanis Nursing Home or to the charity of your choice. Condolences to the family and donations may be made through WallaceFuneralHome.com
