Obituary of Peter Watson
WATSON, Peter (PhD, Retired Professor at Trent University)
Died at home in Peterborough on Monday, March 18th, 2019 at the age of 77. Peter will be sadly missed by his wife Lois (Nee Wilkinson) of 53 years. Cherished father of Laura (Ian Gillies) and Alison of Toronto; proud Grandad of Justin, Posy and Desmond of Toronto; survived by his sister-in-law Patricia of Ottawa, and brother-in-law Ken (Ann) Wilkinson of Waterloo. Predeceased by his brother Michael and parents Edward and Kate Watson of St. Thomas. He will also be missed by many friends and other family members. Peter taught psychology at Trent University for 39 years and was a longtime member of the Peterborough Motor Sports Club. His passions included motor sports, fishing, travel, cooking, photography and watching soccer. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22nd, 2019, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the ASHBURNHAM FUNERAL HOME & RECEPTION CENTRE, 840 Armour Road, Peterborough. Memorial Service in the chapel on Friday, March 22nd, 2019, at 3:00 p.m. with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Peterborough Humane Society through the funeral home or condolences to the family may be made online at www.AshburnhamFuneral.ca
