Paul Vincent Lynam Thursday February 28th 2019

LYNAM, Paul Vincent peacefully passed surrounded by his family at the Kingston General Hospital on Thursday, February 28, 2019, age 74, after suffering a tragic accident at home. Paul Lynam, son of the late James Vincent “Vince” Lynam and the late Erla (Kavanaugh). Loving husband of Sheila (McCormack). Devoted father of Amanda Lynam of Burlington and Jamie Vincent Lynam and his wife Jessica of Oakville. Brother of Dan Lynam and his wife Wendy of Victoria, B.C., and Tim Lynam and his wife Sandy of Stoney Creek. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Johanna, James Vincent, and his nieces, nephews and all of his friends.
Paul had a passion for sports, like his father and 2 brothers. He committed his time to coaching M.O.H.A hockey and O.M.B baseball in Oakville, and was an honest and fair hockey referee, even if he was refereeing his own kids games. During the summer Paul was an avid golfer and loved to watch the Toronto Blue Jays with his wife. Paul was a gentle and kind man, and that was seen through his love of animals and the special bond he had with them. Paul continued his kindness by donating his useable organs to help others. The family will receive friends at the Brighton Funeral Home, 130 Main Street, Brighton, on Saturday, March 9, 2019 from 10 to 11 a.m. Service to follow at 11 o’clock.
As a courtesy to the family, a scent free environment has been requested.
As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers a donation to The Friends of Presqu’ile Park or to Sick Kids hospital would be appreciated by the family.
