As a proud family we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandma and nanny Nadia Marie on March 20, 2019 after a short battle with cancer.
Mother’s wish was to pass at home surrounded by her family with love and support. Surviving are her sons Jeff, Gord, daughter Diane, grandaughter Breanne, ex-husband and friend Jack; sisters Gloria, Vera, brother Orest and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents John & Elsie.
With her 2nd family she was known as the warden in the house as she raised 58 foster sons. Then she became nanny with many foster grandchildren & great foster grandchildren.
She loved watching her sports and loved her Jets. She was chosen as a hometown hockey hero by the Winnipeg Jets. She was also a big fan of the Blue Bombers, curling and baseball.
She worked as the chief switchboard operator at Sears for over 25 years and retired in 2000.
The pride in her life was her granddaughter Breanne. Mom was so loving, kind, sweet, generous, giving and was special to many others touched by her heart.
Thank you to the palliative care program for guidance and support. Thank you to all the homecare & respite workers who cared for mom and a special thank you to son Jeff who looked after mom for many years.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be planned for July.

“I don’t want no tears..Just be strong..Go out there and do what you have to do..I’ll be watching over you..Have a celebration with the spirit in the sky..I love you all”
