Obituary of Muriel Joyce Grandine
GRANDINE, Muriel Joyce –
Passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on Sunday, March 10, 2019 in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the late Claude Grandine. Predeceased by her brother Lloyd Hammond (Marjorie). Loving Mother of Joyce Greenslade (Bill) of Windsor, Joan Grandine of Orillia, Glen Grandine (Carol) of Paris, and like a mother to Val Watt of Orillia. Dearly loved and cherished by her grandchildren Brad Greenslade (Wendi), Philip Grandine and Emily Grandine Brown. Great-grandmother to Will, Eric, and Emma Greenslade. A dear friend to many. Muriel was a Veteran of the Second World War having served in the Canadian Air Force. Her family would like to thank Brierwood Gardens staff and the Brantford General Hospital Stroke Unit staff for their compassionate, quality care (with a special thank you to Dr. Germa & Tracy). Visitation will take place at the McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Rd. North, Brantford on Thursday, March 14th, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. At Muriel’s request a private family funeral will be held on Friday, March 15th, 2019. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. George United Church or to the Stroke Unit at the Brantford General Hospital.
