Born in 1933 and passed away on March 21, 2019.
Rita was a woman of quiet fortitude and dignity. A giving person filled with kindness and compassion that was reflected in everything she did.
She had a love for hosting dinner parties, painting and gardening. She loved her family with all her might.
She was the daughter of the late Armand and Leda (Couillard) Richard and the devoted loving wife to the late Angelo; beloved caring mother of the late Garry, Marc (Deborah Pascas) and Wayne; proud Nanny to Landon (Marisa Bacchiochi) and Lauren (Felipe Jaramillo); precious Great Nanny to Charlie, Henry and Grace; and dearest sister to the late Armande (Maurice Clark), Janette, Maurice (Jeannine) and Jeannine (Donald Gangin). Condolences may be offered to the family from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm on Friday March 29 at J.J. Cardinal Funeral Home, 560 Lakeshore Dr., Dorval, H9S 2B3 (514) 631-1511 (www.jjcardinal.ca). Her life celebration will be held on Saturday March 30, at 11 am at the J.J. Cardinal Chapel. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to the Camille Lefebvre Pavilion Lachine Hospital Foundation, 650 – 16th avenue, Lachine, Quebec, H8S 3N5. The family is forever grateful to the extraordinary staff at Camille Lefebvre for their kindness, compassion and exceptional care towards Rita and our family.
A gentle soul, resilient and fiercely loyal, our sweet Rita has left us to join the angels. She will host many more dinner parties and continue to care for all her loved ones with whom she has now been reunited. She will always live within our hearts!
We will miss you beautiful Rita, Nanny, Friend and Wonderful Mom.
