Surrounded by love and with family at her side, Michelle’s brave battle ended peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at age 64. Michelle was a life-long resident of Edmonton, where she enjoyed many long-term friendships and where she met her husband Brian and raised their two children. Michelle held various positions during her 30+ year career with WCB-Alberta, and whatever the role, she always made an indelible impression and earned the respect and friendship of her many colleagues and clients.
Michelle took early retirement in 2011, and despite her cancer diagnosis shortly after, she found time to embrace her passion for gardening, photography and maintaining close contact with family and friends. She faced her health battle with quiet, fierce determination and courage; she was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Michelle is survived by her husband of 46 years, Brian Hosaluk and children Jeff Hosaluk of Edmonton and Kaylee Blubaugh (Jeremy) of Dallas, TX, her brothers Randy Cronin (Cailin) of Edmonton, Ross Cronin (Kim) of Crescent Beach, BC and Dean Cronin (Michael Kaye) of New York, NY, her niece and nephew Renata Cronin, Robbie Cronin (Theresa) and sister-in-law Oriana Cronin, all of Edmonton, her brother-in-law Jim Hosaluk (Cheryl) of Nanaimo, BC and lastly, her fur-baby Max. Waiting to welcome Michelle are her mom and dad (Jack & Lorraine Cronin) and her special Gramma, Anne Quigley.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Michelle’s life is planned for later this spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michelle’s memory to the Alberta Cancer Foundation. The family extends our heartfelt thanks to Michelle’s long-term physician, Dr. Peter Bell, in addition to the staff at both the Sturgeon Community Hospital (stations 15 and 18) and at Capital Care Norwood, where Michelle was provided with such compassionate care during her final weeks.
Her family also asks that you spend time with your family and friends, take a walk in the springtime air with your loved ones and raise a toast to enduring friendships, lifelong and beyond. That is what Michelle would wish.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Michelle Hosaluk of..
