Obituary of Maurice Vincent Jones
Peacefully on March 17, 2019 Moe, at the age of 67, left us for a better, kinder and healthier place. Loving husband of Maribeth (Mary Elizabeth Heffernan) Jones. Proud father of son David (Dave)Jones and his wife Jennifer and their children Patrick, Brandon, Ashley (Devin), Andrew and daughter Cynthia (Cindy) Murray and her husband Troy and their daughter Violet. Loved by his brother Philip (Yvonne) and sisters Susanne Dewan (Jim), Mary Jane McKenzie, Rosemarie Simmers, Sylvia Kerr (Ernie) Patrice Ollson (Michael). Also loved and greatly missed by sisters in law Maureen Schaus and Sharon Jones. and brother in law David Schaus Also, forever missed by his many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews. Moe was predeceased by his mother Margaret (Bannon), father Patrick (Pat), brother Patrick (Paddy) and his nephew Michael.
Moe retired from LHSC, he will be fondly remembered by his bowling pals from Hot Shots at Bowl a rama, his fellow hockey and baseball officials and the teams he played for over many years. Special thanks to LHSC doctors and nurses in oncology, nephrology, and cardiology and his friends at BayShore for their support during treatments.
Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Thursday evening, March 21st from 7-9 o’clock. Prayers will be held at 8:45. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 377 Oakland Avenue, on Friday morning, March 22nd at 11 o’clock. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations to Epilepsy Southwestern Ontario c/o Epilepsyswo.ca or London Regional Cancer Program c/o LHSF.ca would be appreciated.
