Mary Sylvia Fillis 71 of Dartmouth / L’Ardoise passed away March 3, 2019 at home. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Marie Martell.
Sylvia worked in restaurants as a waitress and went on to be a supervisor; she was also employed as a caregiver, a job she loved to do. She was the life of any party, once you met her you instantly became friends.
She will be missed by her children, sons Wayne (JoAnne), George (Charmaine), Sammy and Troy, daughter Eileen and seven grand children; Brothers Kenneth (Pam), Wilfred (Anita) and Sister Rose Marie.
She was predeceased by her brother Joseph and sister Anne.
Funeral Mass will be offered Saturday at 11:00 a.m. from Holy Guardian Angels Church, L’Ardoise.
Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of Green’s Funeral Home, Port Hawkesbury.
