Mary Deirdre Ann Foucauld
Passed away peacefully on March 9th, 2019 at the Ottawa Hospital. Deirdre was the cherished daughter of the late Mary Helen Bullock and Jean-Paul Foucault. She will be dearly missed by her many cousins and friends.
Born in Montreal, Deirdre completed her undergraduate studies at Marianopolis College and Concordia (Loyola) University.. She then obtained her Master’s Degree in Criminology at the University of Ottawa. Her passion for literacy was demonstrated by her dedicated teaching and mentoring of English reading skills for new Canadians. She became involved in many civic issues and charitable causes. Her kindness, thoughtfulness and loyalty were immeasurable. One of her greatest qualities was her endless ability to put others first.
Interment will be held in Montreal alongside her beloved parents at a later date.

  1. So sorry to hear about Deirdre’s passing. I went to college with her at Algonquin college, Ottawa, ON. We had many laughs together and studied a lot too. She was always concerned about my welfare.
