Marlene Gertrude Weatherby – 82, Harmony
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 28, 2019.
Born in Lower Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Gertrude (Jacobs) Ettinger.
Marlene is survived by sons, Kenneth (Shelley), Fred (Kathy), Larry (Marsha); grandchildren, Adam Weatherby, Chester (Jenn) Weatherby, Sarah (Matt) McCoy, Ashlea (Jason) MacKinnon, Nita (Mitchell) Cox, Chrissy (Jeff) Lindsay, Larry (Ellen) Weatherby, Ray (Kandice) Weatherby; 14 great grandchildren, several sister and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband, Arthur; brother, Raymond Ettinger and stepmother, Nita Ettinger.
Marlene loved living and working on the farm with Arthur and her son Larry. She loved spending her time with her dog, Sam, playing cards, quilting, knitting and especially attending the dances at the Salmon River Fire Hall.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Henderson, Lisa Weatherbee of Palliative Care, VON and homecare workers.
Honouring Marlene’s wishes, a private family interment will be held in the Harmony Cemetery at a later date.
If so desired, donations in Marlene’s memory may be made to the Harmony Cemetery.
