It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Marilyn Smith announce her passing on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre Stephenville Crossing, NL at the age of 82 years. Her memory will live on with those she loved and cherished especially her children: Larry (Betty), Carol (Donnie Hutchings), Heather (Bob) Archer, Susan (Brian) Joy; grandchildren: Geoffrey & Lacey Smith, Alexa & Ryan Archer, Sarah & Megan Joy; great-granddaughter Sophia Smith; step-grandchildren Brittany & Cody Hutchings; brother Allison (Maude) Spurrell; sister Jean (Al) Reid; sisters-in-law: Janet Peyton & Mary Smith; brothers-in-law: Clayton (Marie) Smith & Joe (Ninie) Smith as well as other family and friends. She was pre-deceased by her husband Claude; brother Samuel Spurrell; sisters-in-law: Ivy (Nick) Welsh & Eliza (Graham) Cull; brothers-in-law: Jack Peyton, Ed Smith, Jack (Freda) Smith & Arthur (Violet) Smith. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 between the hours of 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, Hillview Ave., Stephenville, NL on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Canon Kris Gosse officiating. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Stephenville Crossing, NL will take place following the service. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to St. Augustine’s ACW or the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre Therapeutic Recreation Department. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
