Margaret Gulliver (nee Ryan)
June 25, 1929 – March 23, 2019
“You were an angel in the shape of my Mom, now God has called you back, we say Hallelujah you are home.”
With pride, yet heavy hearts, we announce that Margaret Gulliver (nee Ryan) has earned her wings to match the halo she wore her entire life. She was a blessing to her family and friends. She was an avid baker and knitter only to be given away. She took great pleasure in the divine routine of the simple things in life, sharing a cup of tea, helping out down in the barn, hanging clothes on the line and having a good laugh at her annual trip to Revue, Buddy Wasisname, watching Land and Sea and the news. She was all about family and helping those who were less fortunate. She is now united with our father and all those gone before her. Leaving a gaping hole in our hearts, nine sons: Garry (Dianne), Craig (Anne), Keith (Dianne), Derek (Lynn), Terry, Perry, Glenn (Bonnie), Sean (Karen) and Blair (Dana); daughter Sherry (Ed Byrne); 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren whom she cherished; special nieces: Shirley Ryan, Corrine Aylward and Elizabeth Hillier; sister-in-law Mary Gulliver; telephone buddy and life-long friend Trese Casey; and Agnes and Gerald Gulliver. Much appreciation for the care from her medical team: Dr. Noel Browne, Dr. Angela Bussey, Dr. Daulton, Dr. Wayne Gulliver (Godson), and nurse Sheena Williams. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, with visitation on Monday, March 25, 2019 from 12 p.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 11 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations to St. Teresa’s Church in Mundy Pond to honour Mom’s love of church.
“Her hands shall knit and knead no more.”
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Margaret Gulliver nee Ryan 2019..
