1932-2019
ST-IGNACE, NB – Louis Vautour 86, of St-Ignace
passed peacefully at the Villa Maria, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday,
March 21, 2019. Born in St-Ignace, he was the son of the
late Arthur Vautour and late Marie (Barrieault) Vautour.
Before retiring, Louis was a woodsman. He was a member of
the Golden Age Club for many years and enjoyed his volunteer work as
well as hobby farming, gardening, playing cards and driving
his tractor.
Louis will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 51 years,
Emilienne (Chevarie) Vautour of St-Ignace; two sons, Eric Vautour
(Branda) of Moncton, Claude Vautour (Jodi) of St-Ignace; three
grandchildren, Mylene, Emily and Hudson.
He is also survived by three sisters, Gemma LeBlanc (Abel) of
Richibouctou-Village, Zita Thebeau (late Hypolite) of St. Louis,
Gilberte Cormier (late Armand) of Rogersville; three brothers, Albert
Vautour (Celine) of Fredericton, Robert Vautour (Geraldine) of St.
Louis, Gerard Vautour (Geraldine) of St. Ignace and many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Irene
and four brothers, Pierre, Jacques, Aurele and
Yvon.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Tuesday at
noon until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be
celebrated on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 2:00 pm, St. Ignace de Loyola
Roman Catholic Church, St-Ignace. Donations in
Louis’s memory may be made to the NB Alzheimer’s
Society and would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements
are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto
(523-4252).
