Lorraine «Irène» Girouard
1947-2019
Irène Girouard, 71, of Bouctouche Cove, passed away peacefully
surrounded by her family on Saturday March 9, 2019 at the Stella Maris
de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent. She was married to Bernard
Girouard. Born in Caraquet, she was the daughter of Fedora (Godin)
Albert and the late Adelbert Albert.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Bernard; her mother Fedora
Albert of Georgetown, ON, her five children; Déneige Comeau
(Maurice), Daniel (Michelle), Donna Girouard (Paul) of Saint-Antoine,
Dorina Girouard (Roland) of Brampton, ON, and Denis (Stephanie) of
Bouctouche Cove, her thirteen grandchildren; Bernard, Rachelle,
Nicole, Angèle, Alain, Chrissie, Jessica, Lucie, Luc, Chantal,
Armand, Emilie and Lukas as well as eleven great grandchildren. She
also leaves to mourn her twelve brothers and sisters; Kenneth,
Clarence, Rose, Hélène, Denis, Janine, Emilia, Desneige,
Marcel, Claude, Robert and Richard as well as several nephews and
nieces.
Irène was predeceased by one grandson; Christien (1998) and one
sister Rose-Ella (1946).
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de
l’église, Bouctouche on Thursday March 14, 2019 from 2 to 4
and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the
Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Thursday
March 14, 2019 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery in the
spring.
Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral
Home, Bouctouche.
