Obituary of Lorne Klein
Lorne Victor Klein of Maidstone, Saskatchewan born March 27, 1971, sadly passed away on the morning of Saturday March 2nd, 2019 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. He will forever be in our hearts.
Lorne was born in Bonnyville, Alberta to Flora and George Klein. There were many siblings to follow from George and Susanne Klein, but there was only one Lorne who was George’s first-born son. He attended high school in Kindersley and grew up in Saskatchewan for most of his life, spent 10 years in Alberta but came back to call Saskatchewan his home. Lorne had a beautiful soul with, an uplifting spirit that worked all too well in the kitchen for him. With the hands of a chef and the creativity to turn nothing into something, Lorne loved to create delicious, one-of-a-kind dishes that you can’t learn from a textbook. He had a talent with food, but he was the king of baking bannock. As long as you left full and happy, he was thrilled. He also enjoyed street hockey with his brothers Clayton and Corey, joking and play fighting with his daughter and/or nieces, as well as an occasional movie or video game with Kelly! Lorne was a proud family man and made time for everyone, no matter where you lived, he’d find you.
Lorne is survived by: his wife, Lisa Klein-Badger; his children, Kimberly Sayers, Chelsea Badger-Klein, Jade Badger, and Callista Klein; his granddaughter, Olivia Sayers; his father, George Klein; his step-mother, Susanne Klein; his grandmother, Wilda Hogg; his brothers, Randy Klein, Clayton (Tasha) Klein, Corey (Amanda Jo) Klein, and Kelly Klein; his sister, Brenda (Wade) Baker; his nieces, Sheyanne Klein, Jessica Schmidt, Ashley Lanthier, Sydney Napper, Ryanne Klein, Kaidence Klein, Macayla Klein, Tristan Klein, and Hadley Klein; and lastly his nephews, Auston Lanthier and Nolan Klein.
Lorne was predeceased by: his mother, Flora Klein; his grandparents; as well as numerous uncles and cousins.
The Funeral service will be conducted from McCaw Funeral Chapel in Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lorne may be made to Project Sunrise or the donor’s charity of choice.
