Lorne Barry Garner (61) of Edson, Alberta passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.
Lorne leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Betty Garner of St. Albert, and his loving wife Linda Garner of Edson. Also his brother Keith Garner of Sherwood Park, his sisters Sharon Spitzer, Donna Barker and Wendy Garner, of Edmonton and Susan Roberts of Lacombe, along with their spouses; his sons Ian and Stewart Garner of Edson, his step-daughters Melodie Bobilek of Wildwood, Alberta and Charlie Smigelski of Hattenford, Alberta, their spouses and children, along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Lorne was predeceased by his father Gordon Garner and his brother Terry Garner, both of Lloydminster.
Funeral services for Lorne will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 1:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 51., 5016-5th Avenue, Edson, Alberta, with a lunch to follow. Pastor George Stone will be officiating.
A private family interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, AB/NW Division, 200-325 Manning Rd NE, Calgary, AB T2E 9z9
