Lockie Owens died at home with his wife June and daughter Lucy (Brenden) at his side on Monday March 18, 2019.
Predeceased by his parents Audrey and Nicholas Owens. Survived by his brother Blake and his wife Jane and their children Kyle (Whitney), Erica, Zachary and Brooke, special Aunt Janie and mother-in-law Ruth. Also survived by Wally and Ann, Kirk and Jeraldine, Jill and Michael and children Leah, Wally, Addison and Harvey, Lynn and Dave and children Shane and Troy, Lori and Barry and children McKenna and Keegan.
Lockie was born in Toronto on December 8, 1947 and taught English and Drama at the TDSB. June and Lockie moved to the county 20 yrs. ago and opened Casa Lucia in Bloomfield. He loved his life and in particular theatre, old cars, books, Mexico and The County.
Friends are invited to drop in at a casual Irish style wake at June and Lockie’s home on Thursday March 21, 2019 from 5 to 7 pm.
Spring Interment at Quaker Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to Greenpeace Canada or Doctors Without Borders would be appreciated by the family.
Arrangements entrusted to the Hicks Funeral Home, 2 Centre Street, Picton.
