Lillian quietly passed away at Windsor on
March 4th. Born in Aylesford in 1924, she was the daughter of the late
Greatorex and Violet Anderson (nee Walker). After studying business at
Acadia University, she married Thorold M. Davidson and made a home in
Aylesford, she was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed baking,
bingo, company of friends and was a constant reader. After she closed
her Aylesford home, she moved to Dykeland Lodge in Windsor. The last
of her siblings, she is survived by children, Russell (Sheila);
Roderick, Victoria Harbour; David, Aylesford; Ronald (Linda)
Centerville; Barbara MacQuarrie (William), Dartmouth; Lois (Lloyd)
Davidson-Paul, Red Deer; grandchildren Rosalie (Cory), Bermuda; Ricky
(Brenda), Centerville; Frederick (Jessica), Edmonton; Lauren (Dave
Croskery), Kanata; Tom and Shauna, Orleans; Ayla, Prince George;
Ashley (Steve Gaul), Wolfville. Predeceased by her parents, husband,
Thorold, siblings, Wilfred, Ronald, Avard, George, Marion Bowlby,
Frances West and infant Doris Kathleen. She had several
great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; she will be greatly missed by
all. Lillian’s family appreciate the compassion and care the staff
extended during her stay at Dykeland. Funeral service to be held at
Aylesford United Church, Saturday, March 9th, 2pm. Donations in her
memory may be made to the Aylesford United Church Cemetery Fund or a
charity of choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H.
Porter Funeral Home.
