Kenneth Alexander “Sandy” Hare
1952-2019
Kenneth Alexander “Sandy” Hare, husband of Fern (McAllister) Hare of Curventon, passed away at his residence on Sunday, March 24th at the age 66. Born in Newcastle, NB, Sandy was the son of the late Harold and Andresia “Nan” (Mullin) Hare. Sandy was a heavy equipment operator for 50 years for M+M Construction and Sutherland Excavating. Sandy loved nature and spending time with his beloved grandsons.
Besides his wife, Fern, Sandy is survived by one daughter: Kelly (Hare) Hallihan (Danny) of Renous, NB; one son: Curt Hare (Dawn) of Whitney, NB; four sisters: Joy Crocker (Walter) and Elizabeth Hunter, both of Newfoundland, Ann Savoy of BC and Lynn Smith (Brian) of Ontario; one brother: Jimmy Hare (Donna) of Newcastle, NB; four grandchildren: Cody Hare, Kale, Nick and Nate Hallihan as well as several nieces and nephews.
Sandy is predeceased by his parents: Harold and Andresia “Nan” (Mullin) Hare.
Visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home, 150 Northwest Rd., Sunny Corner on Wednesday, March 27th from 7-9 PM as well as on Thursday, March 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held from the Meadows Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, March 29th at 11 AM with Father Dan Melanson officiating. Burial will take place in St. Stephen’s United Church Cemetery, Red Bank at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, in Sandy’s memory, donations may be made to the Extra Mural Program or St. Stephen’s United Church Cemetery Fund.
