Kathryn A.’s Obituary
Surrounded by her family at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie (AB), Kathy passed away on March 4, 2019. She was 62 years, 8 months and 2 days of age.
Kathy was born at Lancashire (England) to Christine (nee Slater) and John Sephton. They immigrated to Canada when she was 9 years old. With her husband Jacques and children Michael and Brigette, Kathy lived in Marie-Reine (AB) and then settled in Grimshaw (AB). From working retail (SAAN Store) to working at AGT or with special needs individuals, Kathy’s friendly demeanor brimmed with politeness and a British accent which always stayed with her. Her love of animals was her passion, supporting causes such as shelters and various adoption programs.
Kathy was pre-deceased by her daughter Brigette Hoffman; sister Heather Vogt; and, father John Sephton.
She is survived by her mother Christine; husband Jacques; son Mike (Kora); grandsons Dayton Chabot and Alex Smith; step-son Garth (Wendy) and his children.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Peace Regional SPCA and/or the Alberta Heart & Stroke Foundation, as expressions of sympathy.
