Judy Norma Perry nee Green February 17 1952 to March 3 2019

It is with deepest sorrow that the family of Judy Norma Perry (Green) announces that she passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit at the Miller Centre on Sunday March 3rd, 2019 following a brief yet profoundly courageous battle with cancer.
Judy touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with. Her unassuming nature, her strength, her kindness and her compassion defined her. She was someone from whom you could draw strength and by her very nature instilled in you a sense of calm. Her creative and artistic endeavors were vast and her craftsmanship was second to none. Her love of gardening truly showed her nurturing spirit. She loved life and she was the strength and heart of her family.
Predeceased by her parents, Norman and Patricia Green, parents-in-law Richard and Norah Perry, brother-in-law Richard Perry and close friend John Hanley. Leaving to mourn and celebrate her life, her high school sweetheart and husband of 45 years Glen Perry, daughter Susan (Duane), son Mark (Kristyna), and her beloved granddaughter Sofia. Also left to mourn are her siblings Joan Stoyles (Reg), Joyce Locke (Brian), Jeffrey Green (Iris), sister-in-law Catherine Perry, brother-in-law Roy Perry (Barbara), and her very dear and special friend Winnie Hanley.
Judy was a friend to all who knew her and she understood that to have great friends you also had to be one. Judy leaves behind her long-time ceramics friends Jane, Debbie, Karen, and Gail, as well as her quilting friends with the Eastern Edge Quilters Guild.
The family would like to give special thanks to those who gave outstanding care and compassion at the palliative care unit of the L.A. Miller Centre, The Health Sciences Centre and the Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Centre.
Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Tuesday, March 5th from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday, March 7th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Judy’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
