It is with great sadness that the family of the late John Stewart announce his passing on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 81 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories; children: Katherine Morgan (James), Raymond Stewart, Wanda Murray (Paul), Laura Organ (John), Lisa Hackett (Chris), Cyril Stewart, Terry Stewart (Roseanne) and Robert Stewart (Lindsay); 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; brother Angus (Mary); sisters-in-law Adelaide Osmond (Lemond) and Margie White; brothers-in-law, David White (Geraldine), Calvin White (Kay), Thomas White and Rex White; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Rhoda Stewart (nee White), August 5, 2012. His parents William and Mary (nee Boland) Stewart, son Wayne Stewart, son-in-law Philip Morgan, brothers: William, James, Thomas and Frank; sisters Rebecca and Elizabeth; brothers-in-law John White, Martin White and sisters-in-law Brenda White and Mary White. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Thursday evening from 7-9:00 P.M. and on Friday from 2-4 p.m. Cremation to follow at Humber Valley Crematorium. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 23rd at 11:00 a.m. from St. Ambrose Church in John’s Beach with Rev. Effie Organ officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
