WHEATON, John – At the Charlotte County Hospital, surrounded by his
loving family, on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, John Wheaton, husband of
the late Deborah Anne “Debbie” (Bragdon) Wheaton of Upper
Waweig, NB. Born in Chipman, NB he is the son of the late John *Jack*
Wheaton born in North Forks, NB and Alice (Jenkins) Wheaton born in
Coles Island, NB.
John is survived by his two daughters, Katrina Wheaton (Eric
Masse) of Richmond, BC, Chantel Wheaton (Andrew Thibodeau) of Chipman,
NB, and one son, Benjamin Wheaton (Lise) of Salmon Creek, NB, one
granddaughter, Daphney.
John worked for 27 years with Lake Utopia Pulp and Paper. In his
spare time John had a great love for music and could be seen on
Tuesday night jamming with friends at the Royal Canadian Legion in St
Stephen for the country jamboree. His passion for music allowed him
the joy of writing his own music and even being able to record so he
could share this love of song.
The funeral service in celebration of John’s life will be
held on Sunday, March 24th, 2019 at 1:30 pm in the chapel of Humphreys
Funeral Home, 20 Marks Street, St. Stephen, NB E3L 2B2 (506-
466-3110). The interment will take place at a later date in the
Chipman United Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home during a time
of visitation on Saturday from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm
– 8:00 pm. For those who wish donations to the Charlotte County
Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. On line condolences
