John Simichak of Hinton AB, beloved husband of Shirley Simichak, passed away suddenly on March 2, 2019 at the age of 79 years.
John was born in Edson, AB and grew up in Hillcrest, AB. John worked in Jasper, AB as a Meteorological Technician for Environment Canada until his retirement. He lived his remaining years in Hinton, AB.
John will be lovingly remembered and is survived by his wife Shirley Simichak; children Bonnie Christians and Jacqueline Clarke (Charlie); grandchildren Kevin Christians (Melissa), Kailey Cryderman (Ken) and Damian Vosper; as well as his numerous great-grandchildren. John is also survived by his brother Dr. Henry Sims (Lily) and family.
In addition to his parents, John was predeceased by his daughter Carrie Cunningham.
